Momocon: Bytes and Beats
Context:
Atlanta, Georgia based anime/comics/gaming convention, MomoCon, approached me to create an illustration to be part of a promotional poster for the music event “Bytes and Beats”. As a former volunteer/director for MomoCon I was very happy for the opportunity to use my illustration skills to benefit the event.
Objective:
The event consisted of artists who collaborated with Nujabes, the late music producer who’s music is known for the soundtrack to the anime “Samurai Champloo”. As the event was more or less inspired by Samurai Champloo I wanted to create a piece of a character that was inspired from the anime as well while also keeping consistent with my personal style.
