Black Panther:
Jabari Tribe
Context:
As a stunt performer, I was extremely grateful to be contacted to perform as a Jabari Tribe warrior for the final battle scene of the Marvel movie “Black Panther”. While it might sound exaggerated, I believe this film played a huge turning point for black representation in media and getting to be involved was nothing more than an honor.
Objective:
As a mark of commemoration for my experience, I wanted to create an illustration self portrait of my character that I played in the movie. I later revisited the piece and added text elements with the goal of creating a T-Shirt and/or art print to sell on my website store.
